This week’s welcome visitors to Coppins Farm…..
We spotted this beautiful Hawk Moth and this exceptionally long Slow worm at Coppins this week. The baby Great Tits were nesting in a cavity in a block wall. They fledged the day after this picture was snapped.

We always feel privileged to hear the song of this magic bird which sings all day and night calling for his mate.
A family to feed ….
Both parents are in and out all day feeding their brood in the old water pump in the Coppins garden.

We are not the only ones living at Coppins Farm!! So much to see on one of the many walks straight from the door. Two field mice surprised in the ancient wood this afternoon, lots of young sheep in the meadows and wild flowers galore….

A walk in the ancient woodland is a must at this time of year – bluebell time – and you will certainly stumble into badger land!

It was touch and go but despite our doubts No 3 was safely relocated on the farm and today we start erecting a temporary roof structure on her to keep out the rain while she waits (it could be a long wait!) renovation.
